Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star How I wonder what you are! Up above the world so high, Like a diamond in the sky, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star How I wonder what you are!
In the dark blue sky you keep, While you through my window peep, And you never shut your eye, Till the sun is in the sky, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star How I wonder what you are!
Grandfather’s Clock
My grandfather’s clock Was too large for the shelf, So it stood ninety years old on the floor, It was taller by half Than the old man himself, Though it weighed not a pennyweight more. It was bought on the morn, Of the day that he was born, And was always his treasure and pride
x But it stopped short Never to go again, When the old man died. Ninety years without slumbering, Tick, tock, tick, tock His life seconds numbering, Tick , tock, tick, tock It stopped short Never to go again, When the old man died
In watching its pendulum Swing to and fro, Many hours had he spent while a boy, And in childhood and manhood The clock seemed to know, And to share both his grief and his joy, For it struck twenty-four When he entered at the door, With a blooming and beautiful bride,
x Repeat
It rang an alarm In the dead of the night, An alarm that for years had been dumb, And we knew that his spirit Was pluming his flight, That his hour of departure had come, Still the clock kept the time, With a soft and muffled chime, As we silently stood by his side.
x Repeat
I had A Little Nut Tree
I had A Little Nut Tree Nothing would it bear But a silver Nutmeg And a golden pear The King of Spain’s daughter Came to visit me, And all for the sake of my little nut tree
Rub-A-Dub-Dub
Rub-A-Dub-Dub Three men in a tub And who do you think they be? The butcher, the baker The candlestick-maker Turn’em out! Knaves all three!
Six Little Ducks
Six little Ducks that I once knew, Fat ones, skinny ones they were, too
x But the one little duck With the feathers on his back, He led the others with a quack, quack, quack! Quack, quack, quack! Quack, quack, quack! He led the other’s with a quack, quack, quack!
Down by the river they would go, Wibble-wobble, wibble-wobble, to and fro x Repeat
Home from the river they would come Wibble-wobble, wibble-wobble, ho-hum-hum!
